BTS JIMIN'S CHILDHOOD NEIGHBORHOOD · SEODONG·HOIDONG·GEUMSA ARMY GUIDE
Welcome to Jimin's Childhood Neighborhood
Jimin was born in Hoidong — the next alley over from Seodong. Seodong, Hoidong, and Geumsa-dong share schools, markets, and weekend hangouts. Locals call this whole area one neighborhood, with Geumsa Crossroads as its center.
✨ Seodong · Hoidong · Geumsa — Jimin's home turf
Seodong Maze Market — where Jimin ran around as a kid — is a 5-minute walk. Inside the market is Matna Bunsik, the dumpling shop Jimin visited on his way home from middle school. Stay one night in the very alleyways of his childhood neighborhood.
🚶 Walking Distance from the Guesthouse
5–15 min walk · The exact alleys Jimin roamed as a kid
Matna Bunsik
10 min walkThe egg dumpling shop Jimin visited on his way home from middle school. A 40-year-old institution — appeared on TV multiple times. Located inside Seodong Maze Market, so combine with a market stroll.
Must order: egg dumplings & tteokbokki
Seodong Maze Market
5 min walkThe neighborhood market Jimin roamed since childhood. Named 'Maze' for its winding alleys — Matna Bunsik is inside.
Just wandering the alleys is enough
Dongwon Kimbap (Ilmi Kimbap)
7 min walkNot a Jimin spot, but the host's honest pick. One of Busan's top 3 kimbap shops — a local institution. The owner is a bit grumpy but the taste is undeniable. Grab takeaway on checkout day to munch while exploring the BTS course.
Takeaway kimbap (checkout day recommended)
🚌 Within Geumjeong-gu — By Bus, Taxi, or Subway
Jimin's school, favourite spots & favourite walks — all in the district (10–40 min)
Yongmungak
10 min by taxiJimin's family ordered delivery from here about once every 10 days when he was little. In Jan 2022 he visited with his family saying 'I was thinking of old times and wanted jjajangmyeon.' His exact seat — the 'Jimin Seat' — is preserved.
Uni jjajangmyeon + tray jjajangmyeon + sweet & sour pork (Jimin's exact order)
📌 Address: 207-15 Hoidong-dong, Geumjeong-gu, Busan
Hoedong Maru & Hoedong Reservoir
35 min (subway+bus)Where Jimin's father brought Jimin and his friends on family outings. Connected to the Hoedong Reservoir Red Clay Trail and cypress forest. Best enjoyed as a separate half-day trip.
Recommended: 40-min Red Clay Trail loop (allow half a day)

Yunsan Middle School (now Busan Forest Education Center)
10 min by taxiThe middle school Jimin attended — now operated as the Busan Forest Education Center. The renovation means you can naturally walk around the exterior and the surrounding forest paths. Closer to the 'neighborhood course' than Busan Arts High School, and it gives ARMY a stronger sense of where Jimin actually grew up.
Exterior photo + a short walk along the surrounding forest path

Geumjeongsan Mountain & Geumgang Park Cable Car
